HI everyone, we know it has been ages since we have
posted. It has been one of those summers.
Along with our SSLLOOOOWWW Internet service
we have had a super busy busy summer.
When we try to take the time to catch up with all
that is going on in your lives, we only last about
10 minutes on the computer before we start to
fall asleep. (not because we are not interested, it
is because we are so tired at the end of our day)
All of a sudden we found that it was fall
So what has kept us busy all summer? Well
of course work. Canine Country Club
has been as busy as ever and we have been
entertaining guests all summer.
Bert has been very busy with his therapy work
and we are finding it difficult to keep up
with my working two jobs and his time at the
hospitals. Bert is now visiting our local
hospital and also Primary Children's Hospital.
It is such a treat, but because of the HIPAA
laws, we are unable to share any of the
incredibly precious and special experiences
that we get to have but we can tell you
that we sure miss having Gooses' Human
Michelle come with us. With her new
job she had to give up our time with her
and we really feel a loss.
But we can tell you about an experience we
had yesterday while hiking in the woods.
We were just hiking along minding our own
business when we found ourselves witness
to a wildlife experience of a life time.
Now some may consider this video
a little on the "Adult Only" side
but other than being scary and amazing
at the same time it was one of those
"Memories" we will always be grateful for.
Hope you enjoy. (PS, sorry about the
running commentary I tend to talk to Bert
when we are nervous. FYI there were five
bulls and two cows and we were surrounded)
Mom is always saying that time passes too quickly and despite the fact the hot summer drug on forever, it is already Autumn! We could not see the video from our phone so we will check it on the computer.
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy and Stanley
Cool video. MOM said I was adult enough to watch it. Bert sure was quiet during the whole thing. Did he have a ball in his mouth?
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
What an amazing video. We are glad you were able to get out of there without any problems. Thanks for letting us know what you have been up to.

At least you have been busy doing things that are satisfying and soul filling, that makes the tired feeling at the end of the day worthwhile. What an amazing experience! You filmed it...momma would have been too nervous to even think of that until hours AFTER!

Our computer is acting up and won't play the video. You guys HAVE been busy! We're happy to hear from you. Glad everything's going so well--except the computer.
ReplyDeleteXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
It's so nice to hear from you guys! Mitch came racing into the computer room when Mr Moose started to bellow!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥

Oh my word. Amazing and you used good judgement in backing away and then leaving when that HUGE bull walked up and told Junior to scram. Actually it was good they were all focused on each other so they mostly ignored you. That really was the experience of a lifetime. Those sounds they make are so...wimpy...coming from such enormous animals! When the giant bull walked out of the trees at the end my heart started pounding just seeing it on the computer - can't imagine what you and Bert were feeling. Speaking of which, isn't Bert smart not to BARK! That would have spelled disaster! Awesome, awesome, video.
ReplyDeleteWe have missed you. That was some video. Glad that did not get upset with you being there.
ReplyDeleteJanice, Snuggles, Sassy, and Dixie

Hi Bert!
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of you in the Fall Fallen Leaves, it is such a magic time of year!

Wow, that was an incredible video... I actually loved your commentary - I think I would've said exactly the same things. My goodness.... Maybe you'll see the calves next year.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing that amazing footage with us, and for telling us how you're doing. We've been missing you.
Howdy Mates, boy oh boy, it's good to hear from you. Glad you've had such a good but busy summer. Wowza that video was amazing. We've never heard the sound of a moose like that before. (Rory came over and was rocking his head sideways from left to right looking confused, it was funny). Thanks for sharing your amazing wildlife. We loved it! No worries, and love, Carol (and Stella and Rory)
ReplyDeleteWe have missed you but we knew you were busy. We send you LOVE!!!

The singing is absolutely amazing! Thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteWhat great fun!! I'm know what it's like to be so busy, but what you're doing in the 'real world' in going to the hospital, I know is truly making a difference! You live in a beautiful part of the world, and I'm glad you're enjoying it--I on TV today that Ole Man Winter came for an early visit. Stay warm and take care!!
ReplyDeleteGood grief Bert! Those are the biggest doggies I've ever seen!!
ReplyDeleteBert and Vickie, you guys do great work!
ReplyDeleteAwww.... thanks Bert. Missed you too:)
ReplyDeleteThat was amazing! I've never heard mooses talk before! Well... except for Bullwinkle, and he sounds WAY different from those guys!
ReplyDeletePlay bows,
Zim
Was that the Mango Love Song the big dude was singing? That was both scary and over the top WOW! I gather from the lack of doggie sounds that Bert was smart enough to keep quiet. Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMango Momma
Hi Bert and Miss Vickie, We've missed you but totally understand how busy you are and how slow internet can be! Loved the photos and also the video but you did seem a bit tooooooo close for us. Sending warm hugs to you both today.
ReplyDeleteNoreen & Hunter
Hi Y'all!
ReplyDeleteWe sure loved the video...even if it was scary.
We understand tired and Internet problems with slowness...My Human thinks is just simply a fact of rural life...the Internet being slow or missing...but think of all the neat sightings of wildlife we'd miss!
Y'all come by when you can!
Hawk aka BrownDog
This is spectacular. I cannot believe how close you were to them! And the sounds. Amazing!!
